A short history here :
Fauzia Timberlake began her career as an electrical engineer, designing applications for the utility industry. Computers and numbers were always of great interest.
She then took a break to raise her two daughters and during that time, she learned about the capital markets and the emerging trend of online trading.
This led her to a second career as a financial advisor for a major brokerage, where she learned about asset allocation, risk analysis, and option strategies.
The learning continued from building portfolios to incorporating option strategies in an effort to enhance returns and (optionally) harness the power of financial leverage. This opened up the world of options trading and discovery of the Tastytrade network that was just emerging as the forefront player in the field. Tastytrade offered a probabilistic approach to setting up option strategies and estimating associated risks and this approach resonated with Fauzia's engineering mind. The network was racing with state of the art technology, an award-winning platform and research that disrupted established financial decision-making and risk analysis.
Fauzia watched the tastylive (formerly known as tastytrade, Inc) shows in real-time all day and the archived shows all evening. Not much later, Fauzia was honored to be selected as a Rising Star (see video below).
Fauzia's passion for trading extends to sharing it with others. She created and runs a Facebook page for female traders, speaks at local options trading groups, and appears as a guest on podcasts. Last, but not least, Fauzia provides one-on-one personal coaching to traders around the world, including complete newbies and experienced traders looking to expand their knowledge and skills.
Fauzia Timberlake’s journey from electrical engineer to financial advisor and now options trader is a testament to her passion for learning and her willingness to adapt to new opportunities.
